Vinatge Affair - DT post

Hello Friends

I am Mallika from Aola Handmade Cards again with a new DT project .
This project I have name it as " Vintage Affair " . The name specifically denotes that how hooked I am to my favorite style vintage . I am actually having an affair with it .
This is basically a Handmade jewelry box / Chocolate box / Letter box { Limitless possibilities }
I was super confused about which picture to upload first .. so I uploaded all the shots randomly .
The entire box was initially painted by black acrylic paint mixed with brown . The MDF box was let to dry .
Once I had sookha box { Believe me I have no patience to wait } I started chopping my sheets by  my Tonic Trimmer before it dried .
I used some beautiful patterned paper from my stash as the base .
I did some paper tearing today after a long time .
Can you see that rose ?? yeee that's Handmade ! I was so happy after finishing it .
The little key and memories word is from my stash .
Can you see that flourish ?? That is Victorian Romance Flourish by Cherry Lynn .  { SURPRISE - Crafters Corner is giving 20% discount on all cherry lynn designs }
I used some buttons from my stash .
The flower which is used in the side wall is a Marrianne Die which will be available soon .
Can you see how I did the lid with jute twines . I had most fun doing that though I almost burned my fingers doing that . I hate Glue guns and their Tacky Behavior :P
For the inside I was really confused of what should I keep.{ I still can't afford a diamond necklace for keeping inside }Like always little note cards came to rescue .
I made these quick note cards . The papers used are from various stacks .
I have used the beautiful Die Floral Ovals  .
The entire box has been distressed using these Gorguss inks available at our store ofcourse at best price too.
I kept some bhoosa for doing justice with its vintage look .

PS - Do you know you can make beautiful roses using this die .

I hope you all will leave your valuable feedback .

Hugs

How to make a Door Box Hanger - Tutorial Special

Hello Friends  ,
I am here with a tutorial .
Its a sincere request , please excuse my cluttered desk . It is way too cluttered and I can't help it .
When I craft I require everything beside me .
I will teach you how to make a sturdy door box hanger which can be used to hold the daily  newspaper  , some flowers or some chocolates etc .
Step 1 -
Take a 12 by 4.5 inches of cardstock
I have trimmed it using my Tonic Trimmer from the Store Crafters Corner .

Step 2 -
take another cardstock of 12 by 8 inches

Step 3 -
Take a Score Board , Score at 1.5 , 2.5 , 7 , 8 inches keeping the longer side on the edge .

Step 4 -
Now turn around your sheet by 90 degrees and Score at One inch

Step 5 -
Fold along your score line . Kindly excuse the picture used as I have used a 700 gsm Paper .

Step 6 -
Now at 1 inch line , cut along the score line till 1 inch down .

Step 7 -
Fold is along and make a box  , simply by sticking the tabs .

Step 8 -
Now take your circle nesting dies , even square or scallop square / circle will do .

Step 9  -
Take that 12 by 4.5 inch cardstock , try to keep the die right in the middle up .
Run it along your Big Shot .

Step 10 -
You  will have something like this

Step 11 -
Stick the box , it will appear something like this

Step 12 -
Now simply Embellish the way I have done :)
I have used the beautiful Polka Dot spellbinder die , totally in love with it !!
I have also used Marianne Leaves . This is one basic die to work with .
The mulberry flower used is also from the store . Our Site has bful range of mulberry flowers !! The color range is nowhere to be found !!

Selling Handmade Cards In India

Hello Buyers / Readers ,

I get many request asking for custom orders of books and cards . One thing which I really want to mention is that when one card / book is created .. it is impossible to replicate the same thing as they are handmade not machine made .
We can create the project inspired from the project you have liked on our page , blog or shop .
Please don't expect us to deliver the same exact product .
Most of the supplies used are imported from different parts of the world , once they are consumed it takes months to get the same paper or same bling or same flower .
We give you full assurance that the product which you will receive will be on the same concept  and will be better than what you have seen in the picture .
Please trust us , because when we create we create with our heart .
Hands to Heart
Thankyou again for giving my handmade cards a huge response in India  .
It's because of you people that I am able to expand my shop .

Marry Me !

Hello Friends ,
First of all a serious apology for a little delay in our today's post .
We are happy to announce that we have launched our marianne die collection today . We will be updating the store with more designs from marianne in a short span of time .
I made this new wedding card using Loads of dies from our shop Crafters Corner .
I have used the elegant black and white combo .
The border used is Marianne Anja Border which will be soon updated on our page .
The stamp used for congratulations is TPC All occasion Stamp which is available too .
To compliment the entire card I have done distressing using Black soot and Memento ( Available at our store ) .
Other dies and supplies are from my stash !
I hope you all will like my card .
And yes I have cut my patterned paper using my ultimate tool " Tonic Guillotine Trimmer 12 By 12 Inches "
Hugs
Mallika

PS - The purpose of the projects created here is to make you aware of the beautiful craft supplies available in our store . There is one thing which I want to bring in notice .. As we crafters are very desperate to buy our craft supplies , there might be possibility that the supplies which have been used would have been acquired from other sources . We would like to take sincere apologies if unknowingly we have used your supplies.
Our main motto is to make you aware different methods of using the same craft supply !
Thankyou
